Keep the kings marching
Capture or Conquer is free, has no ads, and is designed, built, and run by one person. If the drawless fight has won you over, you can help keep it that way.
Support pays for the game server (so it answers instantly instead of napping between games), the domain, and the time to keep building — tournaments, better matchmaking, a mobile app. There is no company here. Every contribution lands on the board.
How the heart finds you
You play as a guest — no sign-up, no password. Your identity lives in this browser as a supporter code. When you donate, paste the code into the donation message and the heart is attached to your profile by hand, usually within a day.
…Your account key
Your rating, games, and heart follow an account key — two halves: your public player id and a secret only your devices know. Save it somewhere safe, and enter it on any other device to play as the same player there. It also brings your profile back if this browser's data is ever cleared.
…Ways to help that cost nothing
A young game's worst enemy is an empty lobby. If you can't donate, these matter just as much:
- Bring one opponent. Send a friend to the lobby and play them right now.
- Share a replay. Every finished game has a shareable replay link — a dramatic king race sells the game better than any description.
- Show up on Saturdays. The weekly arena (Saturdays 17:00 UTC) is when the lobby is busiest.
